The adversary has four objectives:1) Distort or deny the truth of God’s Word
2) Discredit the Testimony of God’s people
3) Destroy the Believer’s Enthusiasm for God’s Work
4) Dilute the Effectiveness of God’s Church
1 Peter 5:8-9 8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
